Acacia Pademelon Trust

The Acacia Pademelon Trust (the Trust) performs its obligations as a depositary within several international structures and also maintains a number of Application Forms as well as providing selected services.

Advocacy

The Trust is jointly represented, alongside the NYRA (National Youth Rights Association) Chapter of the Grapefruit Foundation of Australia, at relevant events of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

Trust's Attorneys

The Trust may, at its own discretion, give general administrative assistance to certain persons. The Trust may also be an Emergency Contact for medical purposes.

The Trust, throught its Attorney Service, may give general administrative assistance regarding:

  • handling residential matters,

  • reviewing financial decisions, and

  • accessing 'support services' for certain persons.

As a representative, the Trust, and/or any of the Trust's Attorneys, may also be an Emergency Contact for medical purposes.

All natural persons who have attained 15 years of age are 'adults' in the general context of our Attorney Service. In exceptional circumstances, the Trust may become a legal guardian (or equivalent) for certain persons.

The Trust supports the conservation of savanna gliders - a distinct but similar species to that of sugar gliders - across South Australia, the Northern Territory of Australia and elsewhere.

The Acacia Pademelon Corporation is, as a corporation sole established by the Trust, distinct to the Acacia Pademelon Mutual Stock Corporation whereas the latter is a mutual-stock corporation (more formally known as an incorporated limited liability hybrid partnership limited by shares) which was also established by the Trust under the Jabiyar Arrangement.

As of July 2025, the Acacia Pademelon Mutual Stock Corporation continues to be the world’s largest mutual-stock corporation.

In addition to its Australian Business Numbers, the Acacia Pademelon may also maintain a Business Number with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) of Canada.

The Australian Middle Economic Corridor is a 5-year initiative, by Acacia Pademelon, to advance regional socio-economic development across the economies of Tasmania, South Australia, Pulu Cocos and the Northern Territory of Australia.

This initiative also supports liaisons with neighbouring regions including in Tuvalu, New Zealand, Nauru, Chile, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste (East Timor) respectively.

The Trust supports Tasmanian organizations such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Tasmania as well as the 26Ten Network of the Tasmanian State Government.

A selected number of emergency management services are provided by the Trust, and the Trust supports the development of direct relations between Tasmania and international organizations. This support has also been extended to the State of Western Australia.

The members of Acacia Pademeon include a number of Tasmanian current/former law-makers at, both, the State-level and local-level alike.

We, the Trust, do acknowledge the Palawa (Aboriginal Tasmanians) as an Indigenous People of the island of Tasmania (Lutruwita) pursuant to international law. We also, similarly, acknowledge the Malayans of Pulu Cocos as an Indigenous People of the Territory of Cocos Islands.
